Welcome to my personal web-page!
I am a biologist interested in the ecology of aquatic systems. My main interest lies in how the environment and the animals' own actions affect their future performance in natural environments.
I am a researcher at the Institute of Freshwater Research, Drottningholm (SLU Aqua), working with environmental monitoring and river restoration, with a focus on fish.
I did my PhD on growth-related tradeoffs in brown trout juveniles at University of Gothenburg under supervision of Jörgen I. Johnsson (2010-2015). Thereafter I spent 1.5 year as a post-doc with David Boukal at University of South Bohemia, investigating environmental effects on the behaviour and metabolism in freshwater invertebrates (snails and insect larvae).
Thereafter, I moved to Stockholm University for another post-doc with Björn Rogell. There I investigated how pace-of-life syndromes are shaped and evolve in South American and African killifish, with particular focus on differences in physiological, and behavioural traits among annual and non-annual species.
Cheers!
